POLYTRON CHANGES NAME OF UPCOMING GAME FROM FEZ TO FEDGE

Montreal, November 11 2009 – International world leader in “Artificial Entertainment” Polytron Corporation is excited to announce a name change for its upcoming smash sensation, Fez.
Indeed! To better represent the edgy nature and aesthetic the game, and edges of squares and cubes, Polytron is proud to announce the name change from Fez to FEDGE!
We at Polytron Corporation are at the edge of everything, at the edge of other edges, so it only make sense to reflect this edgyness in our product’s name, which is now Fedge.

Hi, I’m Miles Fedgeworth, owner of Fedge’s Hedges and Topiary PLC.
In 1992 we filed a copyright claim in Christmas Island for ‘”Fedge”, as pertaining to Hedges, horticulture, grass, lawnmowers, weed trimmers, topiary and computerised hedge shaping simulations’. Your title “Fedge” clearly infringes on a number of our protected copyrights and we wish to seek renumeration.
The “trixel”, is clearly inspired by (if not exceedingly derivative of) our unique equilateral cuboid hedge designs and we aggressively protect our unique designs with full support of the HGDA (Hedge Growers Drinking Association).
We expect compensation in the form of money, promo copies and tshirts.

Horrible name change in my opinion. Fez gave the game a nice feeling to it. Fedge sounds weird, but Fez sounded cool, and….gah! it was so much better. It makes me sad that you changed the name.

This is real news. Langdell’s shinanigans are a threat to small devs who would have swords in their games. His company deserves to go under; they don’t make anything, just scum by feeding on lawsuits.
