SHOP DOWN
The shop is going to be closed while we iron out some bugs and make things nicer.
Big thanks to everyone who ordered! One of the ways we’re funding development of Fez is through selling t-shirts, so we really appreciate your support.
P.S. We did some more research and found that the postage costs were way too high. We’ll be sending some money back to those of you who were overcharged.

Peh, the game doesn’t matter. All I care about is the merch.

Excellent business decision!
People will remember that…
Game: Quick crap is already available by the truckload, help yourselves. This game here will have been in the making for almost 2 yrs, maybe not the same.

Well, you could have anticipated that people don’t care much about T-shirts if there’s only 1 trailer yet and about 5 screenshots. If the game takes too long in development hell, people will lose interest, and the hype will lose itself. IMHO, you announced the game way too early to make good use of the hype it created. Or you’re taking too long. I mean, it’s a good thing you’re not giving out a cheap and buggy release, and that you want the game to be perfect, but come on. You haven’t even officially stated what platform the game will be on. (apart from the fact that you’re developing with XNA, which slims down the choice of viable platforms to one.) Also, there’s no progress-O-meter (I know it’s hard to say, but an estimate that’s 20% close is good enough for me), no ETA, no story, no background info, no beta (which is a good thing, though)… If I hadn’t seen those 3 minutes of trailer, I’d say you’re hyping the people up for the money you get by selling T-shirts.
(now how to end this in a positive manner?) Go-Go-Gadget Motivation!

I for one am happy that you’re taking your time with this one. Not that I don’t want to play the finished product.. god knows I do. ^^ But, what got me excited about this in the first place were the mechanics (ok sure, the quirky looks did some too) and the mechanics can only ever be as good or interesting as the game you build around it.. taking advantage of it to it’s fullest.
Looking forward to wearing the shirt to work.
Keep up the good work, guys!

max: Well, since I came over here to order a fez shirt, it seems that at least some people don’t agree with you entirely. Ofcourse, it does help that it’s a t-shirt I would’ve bought regardless of which game it advertises, as it’s gorgeous.
Also, xna doesn’t narrow it down to one platform, it narrows it down to two. Well, three, if we’re counting Zune.
But if we’re staying in the realm of reality for a little while longer, I’d say xna makes it likely it will appear on pc and x360

Woah, the T-shirts are gorgeous. Too bad I can’t order! I hope you’ll be selling them again soon, I’d love to have one and also to support the game.

Phis, I beg of you, have the shop back up for before the 8th of May. That is my birthday you see and I was hoping to purchase a red and blue shirt.
I beg of you!

Hope the fix up of the shop is going well, I found out about it late and would really like to buy a t-shirt!
May 2nd, 2009 at 15:59
CURSE YOU PHISH! Due to the closeness of my birthday I can no longer purchase a t-shirt unless the shop is somehow miraculously up tomorrow. You’ve just lost yourself a customer!
May 13th, 2009 at 15:59
I’d buy a shirt, put ‘em back up!
May 24th, 2009 at 15:38
What is the ETA on this?
May 27th, 2009 at 16:45
If the shop comes available in the next five to eight days I shall buy two shirts!
A red one and a blue one! Or maybe green instead of the red, I’m not sure.

So which one will come out first: Fez or the shop?
